Sigh....I read romance novels for the happily ever after. Nica has it in this book....but just not with the characters I expected. I finished the book still feeling sad about the loss of her first soul mates. I didn't feel Ian was even a good runner up. I didn't like him or his sister. I don't know if I'll read anymore of her books. We lost a good man in her last book too. I don't want to be sad when I finish a book. There's enough of that in real life.

I was not disappointed by another book by Laura Jo.

I've loved reading all the Soul-linked series and I feel like this brought all of them to a close. I kept wondering how she would write the story since it started as the main character, Nica was only a child. Very emotional story for Nica, one I couldn't wait to read. I'm not giving any of the story away, sorry. I enjoyed how Laura Jo sent us down one rabbit hole thinking we knew who the villain was only to be surprised.
If you're looking for sex scenes right off the bat you won't get that with this book. Laura actually gives you a detailed story before she puts the characters in a sex scene. Be patient, the wait is worth it.

Nica deserves better!

I can't seem to finish this book. It is upsetting to me that the author killed off the men that were Nica's original soul-linked triad. I kept wondering what happened to them and finally had to skim ahead to find out- she doesn't reveal their fate until half-way through the book! The man she winds up with can't even begin to compare to what she would have had with her original triad. I am very disappointed-wish i never bought the book!
