Priceless!

This recordable book is priceless and one of the greatest inventions in the past several years. My husband and I got this book for my grandparents to record for our nephew (aka the great grandson). When they gave him the book for his first birthday, he is only a baby but he stopped what he was doing, sat quietly and listened to the whole book, watching the pages go by as my sister turned them. Everyone in the room got teary eyed and said it was the most amazing gift any of them have ever seen. My nephew will enjoy hearing his great grandparents reading him a beautiful book (in their thick german accents which he wouldn't get to hear otherwise), saying how much they love him, for many years to come.

Only recording of Dad's voice

I bought this book in May from Hallmark, hoping to have my parents record it for me (I was 48 at the time). My Dad wasn't feeling well, so we put it off. "Later" never came, as my Dad died in August.
My sister had had the same book recorded by my parents for her grandchild, and used the recording in that book to record my book. It is the only recording I have of Dad's voice. I was able to listen to it today for the first time, three months after his death.
A very young child might enjoy this a few times and put it away. To me, a grown man, this book is worth far more than its weight in rubies. I may not listen to it often, but I will always appreciate that I have it.
Just a note regarding durability: My sister says the pages tend to stick together if you use it much. You may want to ensure little ones have clean hands before handling.

Great book for baby of deployed Marine

I got this book for my nephew's baby. My nephew is deployed in Afghanistan and I thought it would be nice for his baby to hear his voice reading to her. She is only six months old, but when this book comes out, she is totally captiavated by it and touches the pages as though she is reaching out to her daddy. It is a wonderful book!
