Finally, Perry and Tor's story!

After reading the Tiger Protectors trilogy (A Tiger's Bounty, A Tiger's Treasure, and Tiger's Destiny), particularly with there being the dinner party for Perry, Tor, the tigers and their mates at the end of the third book, I was itching to read Perry and Tor's story. Imagine my disappointment when I started reading Terry Bolryder's Dragons of New York series (the only dragon books that were available; Double Dragons, Double Dragons, and Destined Dragons) to find that none of them were about Perry and Tor! Needless to say, I was trilled when I finally got the opportunity to read this book. I had high hopes for it and Bolryder didn't let me down! This one was very different from the other three dragon books in that it is assumed Lexie is not a dragon heart (don't worry, I'm not spoiling the book; the reader finds this out in the first scene). In the others, the female protagonists were clearly dragon hearted. As finding a dragon heart is critical in the eyes of the dragons, this made for an interesting deviation from the previous three books. While this book can be read as a stand alone (and does not end in a cliffhanger), I think it would be wise for someone to read the Tiger Protectors trilogy first for certain. It would also be beneficial to read the Dragons of New York trilogy prior to reading this. I feel like having read those helped me to better understand everything that was going on and some of the implications and intricacies of the dragons (such as why the red and silver are typically paired together, why the dragons are hunted/in pairs, what Lexie is talking about when she mentions dragons feeding their mate, etc.; the list is extensive). It also gives the reader a better feel as to the gravity of Perry and Tor being the only dragons in their region (as opposed to the 6 in New York). Overall, I would definitely recommend any of the books I've mentioned in this review (including the book for which this review is being written) to a PNR lover.

OMG freaking fantastic loved it.

What happens when two dragons fall for someone who's not a dragon heart. Lexie is just a temp when she finds herself in the middle of a shifter battle. When Perry and Tor find her hiding behind a desk they know automatically she's no dragon heart but they do need a secretary and she is in danger. So they give Lexie her choice come with them be their secretary or have her memory wiped and put back to survive on her own. Hmmm what's a girl to do why go with the two sexy as sin shifters of course. When the sexual tension gets to be to much Lexie tells them since she's getting her memory wiped when the danger passes why not have some fun. What harm can it do? Right. Lexie is falling for the two frustrating dragons but she's agreed to find them a mate and damnit that's what's she's gonna do. When danger comes for Lexie will the dragons be able to save her? Will they pull their head out of their asses before it to late? Well I'd say get your copy and find out. I absolutely loved this story I can't wait to see what's next.

I was so surprised by how much I enjoyed this story of Tor

I was so surprised by how much I enjoyed this story of Tor, Perry & Lex. This is the first book I have read from this author and after being introduced to the world of Dragons & Dragon-hearts, I look forward to reading the other stories. What I liked in particular is the interaction between the characters. Even though Lex was fearful and hiding behind a desk when the dragon pair initially found her, once she started working temporarily for them (while they hunted for her previous employer), the strength of her personality came through. The dragons make no pretence that they can read Lexie's thoughts which makes for interesting reading. Tor's incessant teasing of Lexie, and the way she retaliates made me laugh. The fact that Tor knows Lexie is hot for him makes his attempts at provoking her even funnier. Whereas Perry's logical approach balances out the trio very well. What draws the story out and creates further tension is the dragons are in need of a mate, one who is a Dragon-heart and unfortunately Lexie does not meet the criteria. The dragons enlist the help of the tigers (three male shifters from the Tiger Protector series) to find a suitable mate for them. Lexi is tasked with assisting the tigers, even though the thought breaks her heart. But ever practical Lexi refuses to let an opportunity to seek pleasure with the dragon men pass her by - after all, she will have her mind wiped and no memory of her time with them once everything is settled - and she lets her desire for them take over. I love how the story eventually turns out and the dragon pair come to accept Lexie as she is ... their very own dragon-heart.
I can always tell when I like a storyline. Even though the ending is satisfactory and all the loose ends are tied up, I can see how easy it would be to develop the story further. If the author does decide to explore these characters in another story, that would just make my year. There is a lot of room to move plot wise because the characters themselves are endearing.
